Our Story

Michael Kerekes had a passion for carpentry since he was 13 years old. He had the privilege of attending a technical vocational high school where he learned all facets of residential construction. When he graduated from high school, he knew how to build a house from the ground up.

After having enough of the Connecticut winters, he moved to Southern California in 1991. He became a California licensed general contractor the following April. He married Mary Jo in 1997 and 3 girls became a part of their home. Mike and Mary Jo began Lighthouse Windows & Doors in 1999 and ran the business almost completely off of referrals.

In 2007, Mike began to get a little restless doing just windows and decided to branch off to, once again, include all aspects of remodeling. After 2 additions, a few kitchens and several bathrooms, he began to realize that he really enjoyed doing bathroom remodels. However, he also saw that these remodels were very difficult for the homeowners. They ran all over the place trying to find materials and colors to their liking and then were without their bathrooms for a couple of weeks while work was being done.

Always a problem solver, Mike began to have vision for a Bathroom Remodeling business where the homeowner could do all of their shopping in their home and have their bathroom completed very quickly. The name came almost immediately, "24 Hour Bath".

With 25 years of experience in home remodeling, we believe that 24 Hour Bath will revolutionize the bathroom remodeling industry.
